“Would you not agree that we have strayed much too far from the idea of our Revolution - personal freedom, equality of opportunity, and keeping government close to the people - is threatened by…too much liberty with our Constitution?” – Ronald Reagan

Since he was young, Matt had an instinctive drive for fairness and encouraged others to as well. Matt’s parents, Kurt and Dianne, taught their four kids the value of hard work, faith, and education. As a teen, Matt saw firsthand how important those values are after the 9/11 attacks when his dad was activated with the military. Matt’s Christian faith in particular brought him through that experience and has been the foundation and center of his life since then.
Starting as a paper delivery boy and later at the local grocery store while at St. Ignatius High School, Matt worked through his undergraduate years with the Knights of Columbus. He went on to graduate from George Washington University and then attended Mount St. Mary’s University for his masters. After his doctoral studies in nuclear war strategy at King’s College London, Matt moved to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii to work with the Navy’s Pacific Fleet as a contractor in supply-chain management.
At the beginning of Donald Trump’s
presidency, Matt returned to Washington, DC to serve his country as a
Counterintelligence Offcer on the Russia desk in Quantico, Virginia. As analytical
support to operations, Matt worked alongside CIA, FBI, and State department
offcials and was later stationed at RAF Alconbury in England for several years where
he led soldiers and sailors at European Command’s intelligence center.
